The next Little Rhody Division (LRD) event is scheduled for Saturday, September 7th at the Barrington Public Library, 281 County Road (RT 114) in Barrington, RI 02806. Spouses and guests are always welcome.
The Barrington Library is immediately adjacent to Barrington Town Hall and shares the same parking lot. We will meet in Collis Family Gallery A on the second floor. When entering the library, turn immediately to the right and you’ll find (on your right) a staircase leading to the second floor as well as an elevator. Upon reaching the second floor, turn to the left and proceed to the end of the hall. The auditorium is straight ahead, but to the right is the Collis Family Gallery A.
We will begin with coffee, donuts and socializing at 9:30 AM, followed by information sharing and a short business meeting at about 10 AM. Plus, as always, we will share ASK A QUESTION/SOLVE A PROBLEM, a forum for our in-house experts to answer your questions and solve your nagging model railroad problems.
Also, please consider joining us for an informal lunch following the event at a local restaurant. Let Sue Osberg (sosberg1701@gmail.com) know if you would like the join us and/or you have a Barrington eatery to recommend.
Show & Tell: How I Spent My Summer
Welcome back after our summer break!
Our September event will be a potpourri of presentations by members of the Little Rhody Division. And, that includes you! Did you take a trip this summer that included trains in some form? Did you work on a layout? Build a structure? Read an interesting article? Watch an informative video? Whatever it is, bring your projects and photos and stories to share with others present.
Please let David Kiley (kileys@juno.com) know if you plan to present, so he can organize the presentations. We will have the projector with HDMI cable available for your use. Let David know if you need something else.
White Elephant Table
Bring your surplus train stuff to our White Elephant Table and see if someone would like to give a new home. Provide a suggested price for your items, but be willing to haggle a bit if necessary. Price tags will be available. A contribution of 10% of the selling price to Little Rhody Division is requested to support our endeavors and to offset any expenses we may incur.

LRD member George Landow has been working on our website (http://www.littlerhodydiv.org). It looks different and the content has been updated. Check it out.
George has been visiting the homes of LRD members and photographing their layouts, so they can be viewed on the website. So far, he has captured layouts by Tom Emmett, Steve Erickson, David Kiley, Sue & Brian Osberg, George Landow, Justin Maguire and Henry Pierce. George will also visit and photograph your layout, if you ask. Contact George at (george@landow.com) to schedule a photoshoot.
